Woman Arrested for Allegedly Hitting Pedestrians in Shocking San Diego Incident

A startling incident unfolded in San Diego’s Gaslamp Quarter this past Saturday morning, shaking the usually vibrant downtown area. A woman, identified as Anabel Fernandez, allegedly struck two pedestrians with her vehicle, leaving them seriously injured. This alarming event occurred around 8 a.m. when a police officer on a routine patrol witnessed the entire scene unfold.

In a swift response, the officer called for backup, and other officers arrived promptly to secure the area. Just moments later, Fernandez was arrested on suspicion of two counts of attempted homicide. Meanwhile, the two victims, both believed to be in their mid-20s, were left to deal with the aftermath of a shocking and chaotic situation.

What drives someone to such extreme actions? As of now, the motive behind Fernandez’s alleged attack remains unclear, leaving many questions in its wake. It’s a grim reminder that our daily routines can sometimes take unexpected turns, making us stop and think about the fragility of safety in our own neighborhoods. Perhaps it’s time for all of us to be a little more cautious when we hit the streets!
