Diving into Danger: A Simpsons Writer’s Titanic Adventure and Its Aftermath

In a world where thrill-seeking adventures often come with a side order of chaos, one Simpsons writer took the plunge—or rather, the dive—to see the Titanic. Along with his adventurous wife, Denise, the dive aboard the Titan submersible wasn't just a splash in the ocean; it was a comically perilous journey filled with technical hiccups and unexpected solo voyages. When Denise couldn't board due to a positive COVID test, our writer faced the depths all alone, armed only with questionable navigation and a lot of ambition.

Despite the bumps along the way, the rookie submersible journey ended with a breathtaking view of the wreck, punctuating a high-stakes adventure. However, fate would take a dark turn a year later when the Titan tragically imploded, claiming the lives of its passengers and sparking outrage toward Stockton Rush, the submersible's captain. This rollercoaster of emotions—from exhilaration to sorrow—leaves one pondering: Is adventure worth its risks if it means flirting with disaster?
