A brush fire has ignited in Lakeside, and it’s not the kind of summer barbecue everyone wants. Named the Monte Fire, this wildfire kicked off around 3 p.m. near El Monte Road and quickly charred 25 acres. Can you imagine packing up and leaving your home because of flames?
